Responsibilities

You develop and implement the strategy of the R&D Mechanics team, in line with the overall objectives of the company and the R&D department. As such, you will represent your team in defining and improving processes and interfaces with other stakeholders: project managers, product owners, industrialization, supply chain, customer service and external partners.
You manage, develop and motivate a team of engineers and designers, contributing your experience and encouraging creativity and innovation.
You organize the work of your team: allocating resources to the various product development or improvement projects, distributing tasks, defining deliverables, evaluating performance, training needs and recruiting.
You define objectives and steer the continuous improvement plan for your team’s organization, performance, working methods and tools.
You manage the budget and define the investment needs related to your activity.
You make a technical contribution, directly or by challenging your team, to technological innovation projects, improving existing products and developing new solutions in response to market and customer needs.
You follow market trends, and contribute to technology watch and innovation activities in the company’s field of activity.

Profile

You are a civil engineer with an electromechanical or mechanical background, or equivalent experience.
You have very good technical knowledge of mechanics, automation and electronics.
You have at least 10 years’ experience in the design and industrialization of medical machines or equipment.
You have at least 5 years’ managerial experience (leading a team or design office).
You have a good knowledge and command of mechanical design tools (CAD, PDM, PLM), project management, document management and ERP.
You have experience of regulatory requirements (standards and norms) relating to the design of medical machines and devices.
You demonstrate leadership skills and are able to help teams grow.
You are rigorous and have good analytical, summarizing and writing skills.
You have a perfect command of written and spoken French and English.
