Clean room extension: project genesis

“The volumes ordered are clearly higher than before. We needed to increase our production capacity to meet market expectations”, explains Mathilde Clermont, Consumable Production Manager. An interdepartmental work was then activated, based, among other things, on two pillars: the industrialization of our processes and the deployment of our infrastructures. Expanding the clean room was an essential milestone to ensure an efficient response to the volume required. The latest infrastructure adaptations allowed us to double the production surface. Of course, the team followed the same progression. Thanks to a well-managed recruitment, today, 30 people are trained to manage the production of large volumes of consumables versus 15 in 2021.

Securing production capacity

Thomas Colmant, Head of Operations, was part of the extension project team and explains his role and contribution at Trasis: “Increasing production capacity is one of my goals. But we also need to ensure that we can deliver high volume of consummables within the timeframe required by the market while maintaining a high level of quality. Securing production capacity is therefore my mission. It means anticipating and integrating demand in a long-term perspective. This demand management processes allows us, in these troubled times for the global supply chain, to face the reality of supply successfully”.
