[¹⁸F]MK-6240 is a tracer designed for imaging neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) of TAU proteins that are characteristic of neurodegenerative disorders known as taupathies, of which Alzeihmer’s disease (AD) is one of the most common. [¹⁸F]MK-6240 is used for imaging of neurofibrillary Tau aggregated in AD with minimal off-target binding in the human brain.
